A talk by Sebastian Glatt highlighted on 45th FEBS Congress

A talk presented by our Team Leader, Dr. hab. Sebastian Glatt on the 45th FEBS Congress (3rd to 8th July 2021) has been highlighted by the FEBS OpenBio Press Editors’ community. Dr. Glatt had the pleasure to be one of just two invited speakers from Poland presenting a talk for more than 1500 participants from all around the world.

You can read the FEBS OpenBio comment below:

“On this last day of an enjoyable and exciting Congress, the journal would like to draw attention to the talk of Sebastian Glatt (Poland) on tRNA modifications in the session ‘Biochemistry: a success story’. The talk began with structural insights into how the Elongator complex chemically modifies tRNA molecules, before describing the clinical features of patients with different mutations in a gene encoding part of this complex, and finally the effects of these mutations on protein stability and activity in vitro and on behaviour and neurophysiology in mouse models. This was a fascinating talk that demonstrated the power of interdisciplinary research to bridge the gap between the molecular and the physiological.”
