Konrad Jazgar, one of our Master’s Students, is visiting Texas and working in the world-class structural biology laboratory on solving the receptor tyrosine kinases structures.
BioLAB fellowship gives the opportunity for undergrad students to work at one of the best Universities in the United States for a full year. Students gain experience in bench work, designing experiments but also finding themselves in a new environment.
Konrad joined UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he will be using cryo-EM for solving structures of complexes of active Ephrin receptors bound with their ligands. Additionally, Konrad together with four other Polish students will have a chance to take part in many interesting seminars, lectures and other interesting ventures offered by UT Southwestern.
“Aside from my lab work, whenever I have some spare time I am ready and rarin’ to go exploring new places in the US and experience ever new nuances of the American life.” – says Konrad.
