Sebastian Guzman Perez

Originally from Mexico City, I am a bachelor graduated in Clinical Biochemistry from Universidad de las Americas, Puebla where I focused on the isolation of bacteriocins in multi-resistant strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. I was part of the Abel Tasman’s scholarship from the University Medical Center Groningen in The Netherlands where I made an internship working in a project focus on the role of sRNA s313 in iron transport in Bacillus subtilis. I am currently student my master in Molecular Biotechnology at Jagiellonian University in Krakow and as a part of the Max Planck Research group I will be working on the urmylation of the ubiquitin-like protein Urm1 in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

Besides science, I am guy that enjoys playing the bass guitar, listening to music, swimming and enjoying time with my friends and family.
