A visiting student from the University of Kassel joins us for 2 months

Maria Landrock joins Max Planck Research Group for 2 months to take advantage of the research experience available in our laboratory. We are also very happy to have Maria here, which help us strengthen the collaboration between Jagiellonian and Kassel Universities. Here is what Maria says about herself:
I am a Ph.D. student in Schaffrath’s lab at the University of Kassel, Germany. Due to a Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM) of COST Action CA16120 (European Epitranscriptomics Network), I got the opportunity to join the Max Planck Research Group for two month in spring 2019. This fellowship allows me to further intensify our collaboration on the complex regulation of tRNA modification by phosphorylation of the Elongator complex. Focusing on the involved kinase, the underlying mechanisms will be studied in vitro and will be continued by investigations in budding yeast back in Kassel.
