In June 2019, I graduated from MSc studies in Molecular Biotechnology at Jagiellonian University. After my bachelor studies in Biochemistry, I took part in 29th International Summer Student Programme organized by Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie. Two months of intensive work in Macromolecular Crystallography group at BESSY II were enough for me to become completely charmed by structural biology (and especially by protein crystallography). Later on I had opportunity to further broaden my knowledge and skills during internship at Center for Free Electron Laser Science in Hamburg and again at BESSY II in Berlin, during studies within Erasmus+ programme. Since the beginning of 2018, I am working together with Przemek Grudnik on unique post-translational modification: hypusination, which malfunctions are associated with such conditions as cancer or neurodegeneration. Apart from spending time in the lab, I really enjoy taking photos, reading books, learning new things and… synchrotron trips 😉
